Frequently Asked Questions
How strong is the built-in magnet?
The LumaGrip Pro's built-in magnet is strong enough to hold firmly on vertical and overhead metal surfaces — bonnet undersides, engine bays, toolbox lids, gate motors, generator casings, and vehicle bodywork. It won't slip or fall during normal workshop or outdoor use.
What surfaces does the magnet stick to?
The magnet sticks to any ferrous metal surface — car bonnets, engine bays, toolboxes, fridges, gate motors, generators, scaffolding, roof racks, and steel workbenches. It will not stick to aluminium, plastic, or non-magnetic metals.
How do I charge the LumaGrip Pro?
The LumaGrip Pro charges via USB — convenient at home using a wall adapter, in your bakkie using a USB car charger, or from any compatible power bank. The built-in battery level indicator shows you exactly how much charge remains so you're never caught off guard during load shedding or a late-night job.
How far does the 360° head adjust?
The head rotates a full 360° and flexes to direct COB LED illumination into tight engine bays, dark cupboards, overhead surfaces, awkward repair spots, or straight across a campsite. Once positioned, it holds its angle firmly during use.
Can I use it without a metal surface to stick to?
Yes — when there's no metal surface available, the LumaGrip Pro stands flat on any surface and the adjustable head angles the light exactly where you need it. You can also hold it comfortably by the ergonomic non-slip grip, even with oily or wet hands.
How long does the battery last?
Battery life varies by brightness mode. On full brightness the LumaGrip Pro runs for several hours of continuous use. On lower brightness modes, runtime extends significantly — making it ideal for load shedding, campsite lighting, and extended workshop sessions. The built-in indicator tells you when it's time to recharge.

What South Africans Are Saying
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I stick the LumaGrip Pro to the inside of my bonnet while working on my engine?
Yes — this is one of the most popular uses for the LumaGrip Pro. The strong built-in magnet attaches firmly to the underside of your bonnet or to metal surfaces inside the engine bay, pointing the 360° adjustable COB LED head directly at whatever you're working on. Both hands stay free the entire time.
Is the LumaGrip Pro bright enough to use as a load shedding light?
Absolutely. The high-output COB LED produces wide-area illumination that's more than enough to light up a kitchen, living room, or workspace during load shedding. Stick it magnetically to your fridge, a metal shelf bracket, or any metal surface and point it where you need it. On lower brightness modes it will run for several hours on a single charge.
Can I use the LumaGrip Pro for camping and outdoor use?
Yes — the LumaGrip Pro is a favourite among campers, overlanders, and outdoor enthusiasts. Attach it magnetically to your roof rack, rooftop tent frame, braai stand, or vehicle bodywork for hands-free campsite lighting. The 360° adjustable head lets you angle it over a cooking area, into a tent, or across a campsite table.
How do I position the LumaGrip Pro when there's no metal surface nearby?
When there's no metal surface available, the LumaGrip Pro stands flat on any surface — a workbench, table, ground, or dashboard. Use the 360° adjustable head to angle the COB LED light in any direction. You can also hold it comfortably by the ergonomic non-slip grip, even with oily or wet hands.
Will the magnet scratch my car's paintwork?
The magnet base is designed to hold firmly without scratching metal surfaces under normal use. For added protection on painted surfaces such as car bonnets or bodywork, we recommend placing a thin cloth or microfibre between the magnet and the paint surface before attaching.
Can I use the LumaGrip Pro in a professional workshop environment?
Yes — the LumaGrip Pro is widely used by mechanics, panel beaters, electricians, and tradespeople across South Africa. The magnetic mount, wide COB LED beam, non-slip grip, and multiple brightness modes make it practical for professional use in workshops, on vehicles, and in tight or poorly-lit workspaces.
